As I job hunt and get ready to leave DC I am constantly reflecting on the friends I have made here. I have been blessed growing up with having a solid group of girlfriends; in both high school and my sorority in college, I surrounded myself with caring and wonderful friends who I miss dearly. When I moved to DC I was afraid I wouldn't have a strong group like that again - can lightening strike the same place thrice? It certainly did! Seven of us found each other, and while four left the city sporadically, we remain a close group. Here is a picture of us jumping on the Capitol steps...this is one of my all-time favorite pictures. Back story: it was a gift for the first to leave DC of the group, who is in the second picture (we met her later on that same night and she had no idea what we had previously been up to!).
